** The veterinarian must be approved and accredited by the Government Veterinarian Authority of the pet’s departing country. If the pet is departing Canada, the veterinarian used must be CFIA approved.

Dogs:
Valid Certification of DHLPP Vaccination within 1 year and 30 days prior importation.
Valid Certification of Rabies Vaccination within 1 year and 30 days prior importation.
Puppies must be confined at a place of the owner's choosing until they are three months old. They are then vaccinated and again remain in confinement for 30 days.
Cats:
Valid Certification of FVRCP Vaccination within 1 year and 30 days prior importation.
Valid Certification of Rabies Vaccination within 1 year and 30 days prior importation.
Permits must be obtained from the Chief Veterinary Officer.

The following forms must be sent to the local CFIA for their stamp of approval: International Health Certificate, Rabies Certificate, and the printed history of the pet’s veterinary records.
A Veterinary Officer must examine and clear the pet before it may leave the customs area.
Pets do not need to stay in quarantine if they are imported by permit directly from: The UK, Ireland, Jamaica, St.Kitts - Nevis, Antigua, St.Lucia and St.Vincent.
Pets must undergo six (6) months quarantine in Britain if originating from all other countries.
